## Halloween with Disabili-T4T: Spoonie Spells + Queer, Crip, Costume and Creative Writing Contest

#### Thursday, October 29, 5:30pm EDT / 2:30pm PDT

##### **5:30pm EDT / 2:30pm PDT:** **Spoonie Spells**

Learn to foster a magickal practice that's accessible to you and to leverage your disabilities as a source of magick! We'll cover how to turn everyday care tasks into spellwork, hacks for making magick with less, and practical spells for your health and wellbeing. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned witch, you'll leave with skills to transmute your emotional or physical struggles into personal power!

##### **6:30pm EDT / 3:30pm PDT: Queer, Crip, Costume & Creative Writing Contest**

**The costume contest you (or your pet) can enter from bed, with or without a costume!**

During the Halloween event on October 29, all the written descriptions will be read out loud and the physical costumes will be shown off. Everyone attending the Halloween event will get to vote for the winners. Winners will be announced to our email list and on social media on Halloween, October 31!

Submissions may include:

- **Required: A description—no more than 150 words—of your (or your pet's) Halloween costume.** You can either describe a real costume *or* the costume you *would* be wearing if you had the spoons to get dressed up.
- **Optional: Recent photos of your (or your pet's) Halloween costume.** Photos must be taken this Halloween season (in 2026). No mass-produced costumes or fast fashion allowed!
- **Optional: Modeling your (or your pet's) Halloween costume live.** If you plan to come to our Halloween event on October 29, you can show off your costume in real time, on camera. No mass-produced costumes or fast fashion allowed!
